The APEC 2024 Senior Finance Officials’ Meeting (SFOM) is being held in Urubamba, Cusco, May 27-30. During this technical meeting, deliverables will be prepared for adoption by the Finance Ministers of the 21 APEC economies at their meeting, which will be held from October 18-21 in Lima, during the Finance Ministerial Meeting (FMM).

During this meeting, the delegations will discuss financial issues to promote a more sustainable, digital, and resilient Asia-Pacific region. Topics will include discussions energy transition, carbon measures, disaster risk financing, and open finance.

In Urubamba, two workshops on digital financial education and sustainable infrastructure will also be held. These workshops will show experiences from participating economies and multilateral organizations on how to expand the use of digital tools in the financial sector and develop infrastructure that improves citizens’ quality of life, all within a sustainability approach for APEC economies.
